Dr. Jamila Bilal is 1964 graduate of Fatima Jinnah Medical, Punjab University. She did her Diploma in Anaesthesia from Royal College of Physicians of London in 1970.

She started her career as Anaesthetist in Ashford Hospital, UK in 1971 and also served as Registrar in Anaesthesia Department Govt; Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar. Harefield Hospital, Harefield, Uxbridge, Middlesex, UK has also hired her services as Anaesthetist.

In 1975, she was appointed against as Assistant Professor Anaesthesia in Khyber Medical College, Peshawar and in 1984 she was promoted to Associate Professor of Anaesthesia and got retired in the same capacity.
