Peshawar Medical College was established in 2005 and recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council for 100 admissions. The college has been recognized by the college of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan for FCPS - II training in General Medicine and General Surgery. The postgraduate programs in Basic Medical Sciences i.e. M. Phil in all the Basic Medical Sciences and Diplomas in Forensic Medicine and Clinical Pathology have been approved by the council in its 116th meeting held on 8th May 2010 at Islamabad.
