Packages distributed in TAKHT BHAI

By the grace of Allah the Almighty, on the 25th of May, 2009, SWS delivered the following relief goods to 50 families of IDP from Dir and Swat, sheltered in different schools in Takht-e Bhai, Mardan:

SWS team (Female Wing) of PMC visited the IDPs camps in Mardan on 23rd May, 2009. For their relief SWS team arranged & distributed the packages included.

Packages distributed in JALALA

All Praise to Allah (SWT) for enabling us to help our brother in time of need. Social Welfare Society Peshawar Medical College was able to deliver a humble package to our recently displaced brothers and sisters from Dir, Swat and Bunir Districts on 14th and 15 May, 2009.

After a survey two locations were chosen including Katlung area with 50 scattered families and an already set camp with 1100 tents at Jalala, Mardan.

The Katlung package consisted mainly of food items and slippers, utensils soaps etc, while Jalala package was for about 1100 tents and included soft mattress, pillows, bed sheets along with soaps, hand fans, mosquito repellents.

SWS is highly indebted to PMC administration whose continued support and guidance made SWS execute this activity well. SWS is also grateful to Al-Khidmat Foundation which not only provided its store to SWS, but also aided in delivery of the goods.

Referral Mechanism

Peshawar Medical College also provided Referral forms to the camp. With these forms in hands, they can be treated free of cost in any of the attached hospital with Peshawar Medical College.

 

Packages distributed in KACHA GARHI

The first step towards this project was taken by SWS in December 2008. The project was given the name “EID PACKAGE FOR IDP’S OF BAJAUR AGENCY” The SWS team met the administrator of the camp and proposed a package of services for the IDP’s. The packages distributed were:

  • Sweaters for children
  • Sweaters for adults
  • Sweaters for women
  • Winter shawls for women
  • Winter caps for children
  • Socks for children
  • Tea cup/mug
